NACE code

NACE is the acronym used to designate the various statistical classifications of economic activities in the European Union. NACE provides the framework for collecting and presenting a large range of statistical data according to economic activity in the fields of economic statistics (e.g. production, employment, national accounts) and in other statistical domains.

The Νomenclature of Economic Activities (NACE) is subdivided in a hierarchical, four-level structure. The categories at the highest level are called Sections. The first two digits of the code identify the Division, the third digit identifies the Group, and the fourth digit identifies the Class.
